Two days ago, Calciomercato reported Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are in the race to sign Napoli star Victor Osimhen, and both clubs are ready to spend in excess of €100m to secure his services in the summer.

Last month, the striker expressed his desire to leave the Serie A side after this season and the Blues have been named as a contender since then.

Italian journalist Emanuele Cammaroto, writing in his column for Napoli Magazine, shares the latest on Chelsea and PSG.

He says Napoli will raise €130m from Osimhen’s sale and at least another €40-50m from sales of a few other players.

Chelsea overtaking the Ligue 1 winners in the race for the Nigeria international must be recorded. Cammaroto claims the player favours a move to the west London club, and they want to ‘close the operation quickly’.

There’s little chance for the Naples club to retain the former Lille man, and they will be in line to earn big from his sale.

Cammaroto’s claim that the frontman favours Chelsea comes a week after Gazzetta dello Sport stated the Premier League side would be his first choice because of former Blues star Didier Drogba.

Osimhen has managed nine goals and three assists from 19 games this season.
