On Tuesday, multiple claims from Spain reported Chelsea have made their first official offer of €15m to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Later that day, Foot Mercato said talks between the Blues and Barcelona over a deal for the forward were ‘advancing well’.
Chelsea have ‘transferred a last offer of €20m’ for the Gabon international, according to Sport on Wednesday.
It’s claimed the big difference between this bid and the one that was made earlier is that the Blues have taken the variables out of the proposal. The La Liga side see this offer well, but continue to press to get more money from Chelsea.
Sport say approximately €18m is needed to register the French defender. Aubamyenag’s sale for €20m will help them and also leave some room in their wage bill.
Thomas Tuchel managed the attacker when the pair were at Borussia Dortmund in the past.
The German coach is insisting the west London club sign the 33-year-old as he trusts him a lot.
Meanwhile, El Chiringuito journalist Jose Alvarez Haya claims the deal to take Aubamyenag to Chelsea should be sealed in a ‘matter of days’.
