Chelsea are interested in striker Mauro Icardi and could make their move for him in the summer transfer window.
Icardi, who belongs to Inter Milan, is currently on loan at Paris Saint Germain, who he joined towards the end of the summer transfer window.
He has been in sensational form for the French side, scoring 19 goals in 28 games for the club so far.
They have an option to turn his move into a permanent one for €65m but, Icardi has to ‘endorse’ the move before it can be finalised and this could cause issues, according to FC Inter News.
They would prefer to sell, ideally to PSG, but if not there are other suitors and Chelsea are among them according to the report.
They have ‘taken information’ on the player’s situation, and while they have not made a bid as yet, there is every chance they may do so in the summer.
Real Madrid are also keeping an eye on things while Juventus are also ‘at the window’ and studying any ‘possible developments’.
The likelihood is that PSG will try to activate their option to buy as Leonardo is a fan but if he doesn’t a ‘fiery summer’ could be on the cards and Chelsea may be one of the parties trying to make a deal happen.
