Having arrived at AC Milan from Atalanta on a two-year loan deal in 2017, the Rossoneri have the obligation to make Franck Kessie’s move permanent at the end of the season.
The central midfielder has missed only one league game this term and has started in the remaining 18 matches, one of the key players for the Serie A outfit.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, the Ivory Coast international is attracting interest from Chelsea and the Blues are ‘strong’ on the player and he’s a target for Maurizio Sarri in the summer.
It’s claimed the 22-year-old is valued at €40m by his employer and the Blues may include Tiemoué Bakayoko as a part of the deal.
The former AS Monaco man is currently on a season-long loan deal at San Siro and Milan have the option of signing the Frenchman for €35m, but are asking the west London club to reduce the price in an operation which would see them sign Bakayoko.
There is no mention whether Chelsea will negotiate for Bakayoko, but TMW claims Chelsea are convinced that they could seize the deal for Kessie.
