For the past week or so, reports coming out of Italy and France have pushed Achraf Hakimi towards Paris Saint-Germain.
On Tuesday FcInterNews explained there’s an ‘impasse’ in the negotiations between PSG and Inter Milan, and this allowed Chelsea to move into the picture to sign the right-back.
Sky Italia now state the battle between the Blues and the Ligue 1 side continues as there’s ‘very strong interest’ from these two clubs in the 22-year-old’s signature.
Both the Champions League winners and the Paris based club have made offers around €60m, but the figure is ‘not enough’ to take the defender away from the San Siro.
However, Inter’s talks with Thomas Tuchel’s side could be ‘more fruitful’ in the coming days, given that Chelsea could include one or more players that would be of interest to the Serie A side, as part of the deal to take the Morocco international.
Two potentials are Emerson Palmieri and Andreas Christensen. The Italian’s contract expires in 2022, but the London club have a unilateral option to extend it by a further year.
Therefore, Chelsea need a fee of €15-20m for Emerson, while the Nerazzurri prefer to take him on a loan deal.
