Chelsea star Willian has given a long interview to Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte today. We’ve already covered the quotes where he talks about Aston Villa’s Wesley Moraes, as well as the racism incident which happened in Ukraine this weekend.
Now as Brazil are preparing to face South Korea in a friendly next week, the player has been asked about his expectations for the match.
Willian has obviously mentioned South Korea’s biggest star Heung-min Son, a repeat rival when Chelsea play Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, and now in international football as well.
“Son is a great player, has been standing out in Tottenham,” Willian told Globo Esporte. “These days there is no easy opponent, anyone Brazil will face will be a tough one.”
“The past four games were tough too, against Korea will be another game. We have to study their team well not to be surprised. Let’s get ready to make good games.”
Brazil first go to Saudi Arabia, where they play Argentina on Friday, and then they visit Abu Dhabi to face South Korea on Tuesday, both in friendly matches.
The Asian side, however, have a more serious match ahead, as they first play Lebanon in a World Cup qualifier and only then take on Brazil.
