Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard has been selected in Gazzetta dello Sport’s European Team of the Week after his performance against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
Each week the Italian sports newspaper selects the best players from outside Serie A, and the Belgium international has been picked after the weekend’s round of matches.
Hazard was instrumental in Chelsea’s 4-0 victory over West Brom at the weekend with the former Lille star scoring two goals. The Belgian terrorised Tony Pulis’ side, and in recent weeks Hazard has shown he’s returning to his very best.
Missing the start of the season due to a foot injury, the 26 year old has only been involved in nine Premier League games this campaign.
However, Hazard showed in the 1-0 win over Manchester United just before the international break he was getting back to speed, as West Brom also found out on Saturday.
Chelsea’s victory over west Brom leaves them 3rd in the Premier League table, just one point behind Manchester United.
