Earlier today, we’ve seen interesting reports from Germany regarding the future of Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.
It was reported by Sky that the player’s staff held this week a meeting with Barcelona, who are making a strong pursuit to sign him as a free agent this summer.
Now with the La Liga side emerging as the main candidate to land the 29-year-old, we get to see another update, this time coming from the Spanish media.
It’s now journalist Gerard Romero who has a few more details of Rudiger’s requests to Barcelona. He claims that following their 4-0 win over Real Madrid a couple of weeks ago, the player ‘asked for a meeting’ with the club.
It’s said the Chelsea defender ‘liked’ their proposal, but the Camp Nou side ‘has to order pieces’. It’s also claimed that the conditions on the table are ‘inferior to other clubs’.
So perhaps the meeting reported by Sky is the one requested by Antonio Rudiger.
The Chelsea player has a few months to decide his next destination and is certainly checking all the arguments presented by the sides who want him.
