As Italian outlet Tuttosport has a story today about Juventus’ sales that could be done this week, they say two of them could be to Chelsea.
According to the newspaper, Maurizio Sarri wants two players from the Old Lady to follow him to Stamford Bridge this summer: Daniele Rugani and Gonzalo Higuain.
The first one is taken by Tuttosport as a bigger deal, not because of the money involved, but for the attention the report gives to the case.
They call the defender an ‘explicit request’ from Sarri, who has previously worked him with at Empoli, and say he would cost an investment of €40m. The race for him is called ‘very hot’ and they seem to think it’s the likelier of the two potential transfers to reach success soon.
Regarding the Argentine striker, the story doesn’t have much to say, despite claiming the manager would like to take him as well.
The links between Chelsea and Higuain have been going on for a while in the Turin press, and even a swap between Pipita and Alvaro Morata has been suggested.
But considering that Higuain’s price has recently been said to be €60m, then Chelsea could be spending €100m on Juventus players this summer.
