All of a sudden, Chelsea are today linked to Inter Milan centre-forward Lautaro Martinez.

The rumours don’t come from Italy or Argentina. It’s actually Spanish outlet Fichajes who claim the Blues show ‘strong interest’ in the striker.

It’s said Chelsea have been following Martinez for a while, and despite the attacking options they have in the squad, they never forgot about the Inter Milan star.

The advantage the Blues would have is that the player is still to find an agreement for a contract renewal with the Nerazzurri.

So even though Inter Milan are not ready for a sale, a big offer would change their mind, and the figure mentioned is €150m.

Fichajes writes that Chelsea have been showing that under Mauricio Pochettino they’ll have a style to control the ball, and they now need a decisive player in their attack.

Playing for Inter Milan this season, Martinez already has five goals in four games.

The problem is that we’re still to see something in Italy about this pursuit, and it’s best taking it with a pinch of salt until there’s news about the Blues actually moving for Martinez’s arrival at Stamford Bridge.
