As was reported earlier on, Chelsea made their first official offer to Barcelona for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
That was after a number of talks between the two sides for the Gabon international, and there was a feeling that something will get done before the end of the transfer window.
Chelsea have been hard pressed to find the back of the net this season, scoring just three goals in their first three games, as the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner have not been replaced.
That’s why they are targeting Aubameyang, and Foot Mercato in France bring their own information to the table on Tuesday.
They claim talks are ‘advancing well’, with Chelsea offering €14m (close enough to the €15m reported earlier), but that ‘doesn’t satisfy’ Barcelona, who ‘are expecting €20m’ for their striker.
That’s the sum they need to register Jules Koundé in their squad, and once an agreement between the two clubs is found, the rest should follow very smoothly.
This is due to the fact that Chelsea already have a ‘total agreement’ with the player.
