Chelsea’s Kenedy spent the last 18 months on loan at Newcastle United and returned to Stamford Bridge earlier this summer.
The Brazilian, who can operate as a left-back or on the left wing is unlikely to be included in Frank Lampard’s plans for this campaign.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, the 23-year-old is set for another temporary spell, this time to Getafe on the deadline day of the European transfer window.
It’s claimed there were other clubs like Championship side Reading, Sassuolo and Schalke who were interested in the South American. However, he rejected them in order to join Getafe because the latter will play in the Europa League.
The report explains the La Liga side and the Blues have already found an agreement for a loan deal. In addition to this, the player is already in Madrid to undergo his medical examinations, prior to his switch to the Spanish side.
