Frank Lampard included Antonio Rüdiger in his plans for this season after the defender failed to get a move away from Chelsea in the previous window.

The centre-back has been restricted to only one appearance in the Premier League and reports from England stated a move to Barcelona or Serie A could be an option for him in January.

Earlier today, we carried a report from Mundo Deportivo, who explained the La Liga side’s ‘delicate’ financial situation makes it ‘complicated’ for them to sign the 27-year-old.

The Germany international arrived at Stamford Bridge from AS Roma in 2017.

His experience of playing in Italy and his current situation at the west London club could make the Blues player ‘more than an interesting market opportunity’, specifically for AC Milan and Juventus.

That’s what Calciomercato.it are reporting on Tuesday as Rüdiger has emerged a transfer ‘idea’ for the two Italian clubs in January.

Juve need to strengthen their defence because of injuries, while Milan need a new centre-back because there is ‘no real alternative’ to Simon Kjaer at the San Siro.

It’s claimed Chelsea would want to cash in around €18m from Rüdiger’s sale in the mid-season window, but they are willing to let the player leave on loan with an option to buy.
