Alvaro Morata will fly to Spain tonight to complete his loan move to Atletico Madrid, report AS on Saturday evening.
The Spanish newspaper explain the loan deal will be for a period of 18 months… and will be packed with clauses about recalls and potential sales.
Chelsea will have the right to bring the striker back to Stamford Bridge during the summer window, but only to use him in their squad. The Premier League club will not be able to bring Morata back in the summer and then sell him on elsewhere.
Should Chelsea trigger their recall clause then a clause for Atletico will also kick in, allowing them to sign the former Real Madrid player permanently.
No amounts are mentioned for that potential switch.
Morata will go through his medical tests on Sunday and should everything be fine, as it’s expected to be, then he’ll sign a contract with Atletico on Monday and be presented to the club’s fans.
