Antonio Rudiger would prefer to go to Juventus this summer, should he leave Chelsea on a free transfer as expected.
That’s according to Fussball Transfers, who say the Italian side are the defender’s ‘dream destination’ this summer.
They explain that Rudiger, whose contract is set to expire in the summer, has four offers currently on the table.
First, there is Chelsea, who, despite an inability to act because of the sanctions on Roman Abramovich, are ‘trying’ to keep the German. They, though, have not yet matched his ‘expectations’.
PSG and Real Madrid have also made bids, with the latter’s never rejected by the player and thus not ‘expired’ as yet.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, were very keen not long ago, but that ‘cooled down’, and it appeared they had turned their attention elsewhere.
That’s now changed, and AS have even shown the Chelsea defender mocked up in a Real Madrid shirt, making it clear Los Blancos are definitely now back in the running.
The problem is that the offer from Madrid is the lowest – PSG’s is the highest – but Rudiger’s ‘preference’ is to go to Juventus.
They are his ‘dream destination’, and reports in Italy have claimed there is an agreement in place, but FT say that is not the case.
According to them a deal is ‘not that far’ away but yet to be finalised.
Rudiger, though, would pick them if he ‘ultimately had to choose’ between all the current offers.
He’s yet to do so and wants to ‘take a few weeks’ to make a decision, suggesting the saga around the German is not set to end any time soon.
