Napoli’s interest in signing Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga continues to be covered by the Italian media, and now gets an update from journalist Alfredo Pedulla.
The Sportitalia reporter (via Area Napoli) now claims there was a chat between the Serie A side and the player’s entourage at the weekend.
According to Pedulla, Kepa has ‘given availability’ to the move, since he’s looking to get more minutes this season. And even though his salary is considered too high for Napoli, the club’s relationship with Chelsea ‘can help’ them pay for the move.
Since the transfer is still considered complicated, the Serie A side have other targets on their list, such as Barcelona’s Neto. The club have just lost David Ospina, and now work strongly to get a replacement.
This report from Pedulla feels like an interesting update on Napoli’s chase for Kepa, though, as reports from last week said Chelsea weren’t willing to help by paying part of his salary. So perhaps the Blues are finally becoming more open to the possibility of loaning him out, especially if he’s keen on leaving.
