Chelsea player offered to another club, but he doesn’t ‘entirely convince’ them right now

Gary Cahill has a grand total of 21 minutes in the Premier League so far this season.

He’s enjoyed much more football in the Europa League, but it’s clear the defender isn’t anywhere near being a key component for manager Maurizio Sarri.

With a contract ending in June of next year, a Stamford Bridge exit is very much on the cards and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the player leave in the January window.

At 32 years of age, Cahill will believe he still has something to offer at a good level, and it would make sense to start looking for options.

Italy’s Calciomercato claim the veteran has been offered to AC Milan, which would be quite ambitious from the player’s perspective. Unfortunately for Cahill, the response hasn’t exactly been a positive one.

Calciomercato say the club’s sporting director Leonardo is not ‘entirely convinced’ by the transfer opportunity presented. Cahill’s profile is not what Milan are looking for right now.
