Two days ago, El Chiringuito reported that Eden Hazard is likely to leave Chelsea in the summer.
The Belgium international told RMC Sport that he has already made a decision on his future, but refused to reveal any details.
His contract at Stamford Bridge runs down in 2020 and Marca claims the Blues’ attempts to offer him a new deal, that will see him double his salary, have been turned down because of his desire to join Real Madrid.
On numerous occasions, the 28-year-old has publicly revealed his dream of joining the Champions League winners, but the question is whether Los Blancos will make a serious attempt to sign him.
After the World Cup, Hazard wanted to join the Spanish capital club, but the west London side demanded €250m, which is one of the reasons Real Madrid didn’t land him before the start of this campaign.
But as of now, the La Liga giants don’t consider it the right time to push for Hazard’s transfer, or to even set up a deal ahead of the summer.
He is currently ‘not having a good time’ and living in ‘tense’ moments, claim Marca, despite his public comments and persona suggesting otherwise.
Marca further explains that Hazard is waiting for the call from Real Madrid as he is eagerly waiting to join the 13-time European champions in the summer.
Still, as far as much of the media closest to the Spanish club is concerned, there’s no great desperation yet to sign the player.
