Earlier on Thursday, AS reported Atlético Madrid want to complete the signing of Chelsea’s César Azpilicueta in the next 48 hours. It was also stated the defender wants to terminate his deal with the Blues, which currently runs down in 2024.
It was then followed by a claim from AS journalist Aritz Gabilondo, who stated the 33-year-old will leave the west London club later today.
There has been another new development in the deal to take the Chelsea star to the Madrid club, according to El Chiringuito TV.
They have managed to get some footage where the Spaniard was filmed arriving at Atlético’s home stadium, the Metropolitano, ‘to sign’ for them.
El Chiringuito TV further add the player is expected to start training with his new club from tomorrow, meaning his medical tests and signing the contract with Los Rojiblancos could be concluded in the next few hours.
