On loan from Chelsea for the 2020-21 season, Armando Broja has made the most of his time at Vitesse in the Netherlands.
The Albania international has been a consistent regular for the Eredivisie side, scoring 10 goals and assisting another two in 30 league appearances, and that’s caused them to try and keep him for longer.
That’s according to Der Gerlander, relayed by FC Update, with Vitesse wanting to renew the loans of both Loïs Openda and Broja.
Much like the Chelsea loanee, Openda has been a key part of the club’s great season in the Dutch league, and it’s stated both the club and the two strikers ‘see a new season on a loan basis’.
However, it’s made clear both Club Brugge and Chelsea ‘also have a say’, although we highly doubt Thomas Tuchel has any plans of trying to integrate the Slough born Albania international into his squad next season.
One to keep an eye on, but it would be surprising to see the Blues turn this down, especially since the player also wants to stay and is clearly developing nicely there.
