Contracted to the Blues for the foreseeable future, the midfielder, who starred for his country throughout the Euros, might have seen his value increase over the course of the competition, but Marina Granovskaia and co. aren’t interested in selling.
After all, there are some calling for him to be the next Ballon d’Or, and not only was he integral to Roberto Mancini’s plans this summer, that was also the case for Thomas Tuchel last season.
Jorginho helped Chelsea win the Champions League, defeating Manchester City in the process, and the German manager simply ‘cannot do without him’.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who explain the Brazil born player will now be worth more than the £50m the Blues spent on him to sign him from Napoli, but everyone at Stamford Bridge considers him ‘fundamental’.
And for those worried he might want to move on, that isn’t the case, as his agent, despite suggesting a return to Italy could be on the cards, made it clear Jorginho wanted to renew first and foremost.
