This week’s edition of France Football has a big feature on the biggest club’s in the world.
London comes out of it quite well, the city with the most sides featuring.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are all in the top 20. No other city can match that, but as far as regions go, it’s England’s North West which comes out the best with three sides all named.
Chelsea have come in at 8th, Arsenal are a couple of places behind in 10th, and Tottenham find themselves in 14th.
France Football picked ten factors to judge clubs on, these are:
Number of players in current squad to have won a World Cup.
Continent level titles won (eg Champions League).
Shirts sold per year.
Annual revenue.
Record transfer fee paid.
Average attendance.
Market value of current squad.
Ballon d’Or (France Football original version) trophies won since 1956.
Social media followers.
Clubs with the biggest mythical status.
Chelsea did very well with the first factor, with three World Cup winners in the squad, Arsenal and Tottenham also placed highly with two each.
Although one may suspect that category is in there to help PSG climb a few places, with them having five World Cup winners.
