The rumours linking Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic to a move to Chelsea have been around for a long time, and now that he’d have a chance to sign for the Blues for free, it seems like it’s still not happening.
Italian newspaper Tuttosport features a piece on the Croatian player and his contract with the Nerazzurri, which expires next summer.
It’s claimed that there’s a meeting scheduled when the club and his entourage will speak about the sporting project they have, as other details have already been discussed.
Brozovic wants to stay at Inter Milan, and that’s bad news for the likes of Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain. It’s said both the Blues and the French side made approaches to know more about his situation, but it’s been restated that the midfielder should soon extend his deal.
Inter Milan are set to offer Brozovic just over €5m per season, including bonuses, while his entourage will ask for around €6m. That’s not a big difference, so all parties should work out a deal in the end.
Now if Brozovic would really turn down Chelsea and PSG to stay at Inter Milan, that’d be something surprising.
