Kepa Arrizabalaga was dropped for Chelsea’s last two league fixtures against Leicester City and Manchester United.
There have been various reports suggesting Frank Lampard no longer relies on the Spaniard and the Blues could be looking to bring in a new goalkeeper in the summer.
Udinese’s Juan Musso has reportedly emerged as one of the targets along with Ajax’s André Onana.
Regarding Onana, Sport explains Barcelona are interested in the 23-year-old. They view him as a backup for Marc-André ter Stegen because last summer’s signing, Neto, hasn’t convinced the Camp Nou leaders.
It’s claimed the Cameroon international will leave Ajax in the summer and Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu has already held talks with him during the Ballon d’Or gala. Any approach from the La Liga winners to sign the keeper will see them face obstacles.
Ajax have set €40m as starting point for negotiations. The other problem for Barcelona is Chelsea.
According to the report, the Stamford Bridge club are the ‘main favourite’ to sign the Ajax player. The west London club are ready to get rid of Kepa and are willing to ‘push hard’ for Onana.
Sport also states Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are candidates, but they have David de Gea and Keylor Navas respectively as their first-choice keepers.
