Once again on the bench for Chelsea against Brentford, Hakim Ziyech didn’t come on, meaning he has yet to add to his 120 minutes of Premier League football to date.
This is a concern for the Morocco international, who will want to play as much as possible for the World Cup, even if his place in the squad will never be in doubt, such is his importance to the national team.
Either way, the situation at Chelsea is far from ideal for Ziyech, which is why the idea, much like it was in the summer, of a move away is a subject of discussion.
Italy appears to be the likeliest destination, where Milan are one again keen, and there is talk of them eyeing up a January deal.
This comes from Corriere dello Sport, who explain to their readers that there is ‘less and less space’ for the forward these days under Graham Potter, and the Serie A side ‘continue to be at the top of his thoughts’
They then add ‘it’s possible that the track could reopen in January’, as Milan are already thinking about the next transfer window and how they can improve the squad.
‘Dialogues are open on several fronts’ with Chelsea, and Armando Broja is also a player they are looking at, even if he would likely be a summer target when Zlatan Ibrahimović should move on, rather than one in January,
