Talleres forward Nahuel Bustos has revealed it is his ‘dream’ to play for Chelsea at some point in future.
Bustos is currently starring for Talleres in the Argentinian Superliga and has managed nine goals and three assists in 20 league games this season.
Those are the kind of numbers that can earn attention from Europe, with many a player having earned their move after impressive seasons in Argentina.
At 21-years-old, Bustos is prime for the plucking and says, if he could choose any club, it would be Chelsea.
“I’d like to go outside (of Argentina),” he revealed in an Instagram Live chat, relayed by La Voz del Interior.
“If I stay in Argentina, I stay at Talleres. I always said so. If they call me from Boca or River, I stay in Talleres. I’m not going to lie to you.
“I’d like to play in Europe. Do you know where I’d like to play? At Chelsea in England. It’s my dream.”
Whether Bustos ever gets to realise his dream remains to be seen, although if there was any time to move to Stamford Bridge, now would be it.
Frank Lampard has shown he’s willing to give young players their opportunity to shine this season and has been handsomely rewarded as a result.
The club now seem determined to focus on youth moving forward, giving players like Bustos the perfect opportunity to seal a move and make their mark.
Unfortunately for him, when it comes to forwards, it’s likely the Blues will be looking a little higher up the chain so perhaps a move somewhere else in Europe would be advisable so he can catch their attention first.
