AC Milan are in the process of a takeover by a Chinese group, but have already appointed Massimiliano Mirabelli as their director of sport and Marco Fassone as their CEO.
According to Italian website Calciomercato, Mirabelli and Fassone were at Stamford Bridge on Saturday to watch the match between Leicester and Chelsea.
The due were invited by Chelsea, and it’s been reported there were also transfer discussions. Calciomercato say Fassone and Mirabelli discussed the possibility of signing Cesc Fabregas.
However, the transfer costs could be very high, but the Serie A club are still considering signing him in January. The Spaniard was once again left out of Chelsea’s starting XI against Leicester, and Calciomercato believe his desire to move on could make a difference.
Fabregas doesn’t seem to be a crucial part of Conte’s plans, and he could be set for a move away from Chelsea, but it remains to be seen if it’s going to AC Milan.
The club’s manager Vincenzo Montella last week spoke to the Italian and rubbished the idea of Fabregas being a replacement for the injured Riccardo Montolivo.
