Manchester City are reportedly interested in Juventus’ young striker Moise Kean, who made it to the bench against Udinese. The 16-year-old hasn’t signed a professional contract, and reports link him with a move to Manchester City.

Yesterday, Calciomercato reported Manchester City are ready to begin talks with Juventus to bring Kean to England, but the Serie A club are reluctant to let him leave.

Juventus’ managing director, Beppe Marotta, has been speaking to the Italian media outlet Premium Sport (via TMW), and was asked about Kean’s future at Juventus.

Marotta insists the 16-year-old is set to stay for many years, but it is important to avoid ‘disproportionate’ contracts.

He said: “That a 16-year-old sits on this bench is something that is good. Kean is here for many years.

“The players have long contracts, but it is right to give them credit when they do well. With their agents we are thinking to review the contracts, trying to keep the balance of the dressing room and avoid disproportionate contracts.”

It remains to be seen if Manchester City can find a way to convince Kean, but at the moment, it appears his future is in Italy.
