Back in February, there were a number of stories suggesting that Chelsea, who aren’t exactly happy with Kepa these days, were looking at Udinese’s Juan Musso.
Frank Lampard’s side have been linked with many goalkeepers of late, with names like André Onana and Mike Maignan mentioned, but it appears, at least according to various members of the Italian media, that the Argentinian shot stopper is also on that list.
TuttoUdinese are the latests to join the discussion, claiming that Chelsea are ‘the team that really seems in the front row’.
It’s stated the Blues feel the player is ‘adapted for the Premier League’ and are looking for a new goalkeeper because of the lack of trust in Kepa.
Furthermore, the €30m price tag placed by Udinese on the player ‘isn’t currently a problem for Abramovich’.
As things stands, there appears to be some acceptance that Musso’s future will likely be elsewhere, but whether he ends up at Chelsea remains to be seen, as Inter are also looking at him, fully aware that Samir Handanović isn’t getting any younger at 35, with a contract expiring in 2021.
One to certainly keep an eye on.
