Chelsea are going to be the ‘first victim’ of Florentino Perez, report Sport, as the Real Madrid president gets ready to smash the transfer market.
With the World Cup now over and the end of the transfer window not too far away, big deals are likely to happen relatively quickly.
The Premier League club could lose two of their most important ‘cracks’ to Real Madrid, with Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard the pair being targeted. Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Juventus, where he today had his medical, leaves Madrid needing a big signing or two and they now have an extra €100m in the kitty.
Perez’s initial targets were said to be Neymar, Kane and Mbappe, but Sport believe the chances of signing any of those players is ‘nil’.
Hazard is said to know Courtois has been in talks with Real Madrid ‘for weeks’ and the Spanish club are said to have already offered him a five year contract worth €6.5m a year after tax.
There’s no claim on Hazard being offered anything, but it’s stated he’s been ‘shamelessly offered’ to Real Madrid.
