Barcelona are keen to get some sales over the line, and quickly. Heading to the US in a few days for their preseason tour, the Catalan club would rather not fringe take players who could otherwise be shipped out.
Catalan newspaper Sport have a feature on it today, reporting that several players are being edged out. At the bottom they state Lucas Digne has been ‘in the orbit of Everton’ and several other unnamed clubs.
People close to the player have, however, insisted that he would rather continue at Barcelona for another season and that links going around currently are just rumours.
Should the Everton interest be correct then this wouldn’t kill the potential deal.
If the Toffees were to put a tempting offer to Barcelona then there’s every chance the French fullback could be told he’s surplus to requirements, and that would surely have some outcome on the player’s thinking.Just in case Everton are looking for other players too, all of Andre Gomes, Marlon, Aleix Vidal and Rafinha are available.
