Leaving Chelsea for Barcelona is now a ‘real option’ for Blues defender Andreas Christensen, whose entourage have been in contact with the Catalan giants.
That’s according to Cadena SER, who back up reports from elsewhere regarding a potential move to the Nou Camp this summer.
One report earlier today stated that Chelsea had become annoyed with Christensen and the demands he was making regarding a new deal, while Mundo Deportivo then stated that the player’s negotiations with Barcelona were ‘very advanced.‘
There have been contacts between the club and Christensen’s entourage ‘in the last few hours’, and they have resulted in both parties realising that there is a distinct possibility he could end up in Catalunya.
Barcelona like the defender, and he has made it clear that if he does not renew at Chelsea, he will leave the Premier League for an adventure somewhere else.
Spain would be an ideal option, and while Barcelona are just thinking about the deal, the player is a ‘real option’ for them as their rebuild under Xavi continues.
