After numerous delays, Cesc Fabregas’ transfer to Monaco could be done as early as today, according to RMC Sport.
The French outlet explain that after rejecting the chance to sign William Vainqueur, the principality club will be signing the Spaniard, whose career at Stamford Bridge is about to come to an end.
Having already travelled to Monaco for the first part of his medical and some admin stuff, the player has apparently returned to the south of France to sort out the rest.
RMC Sport claim the midfielder has already undergone the second half of his medical, and his presence at the club is ‘a positive sign’ that an official announcement is around the corner.
Those within the Ligue 1 side were said to be ‘very confident’ of getting this done as soon as possible, wanting to feature Fabregas in the game against Marseille on Sunday.
There are few details regarding the numbers in the transfer, but taking into consideration his age, lack of recent football and the fact he only had six months left on his Chelsea deal, it won’t be a huge amount.
