Wolverhampton Wanderers have opened talks with Greek side PAOK for the transfer of striker Léo Bonattini. The report was first made by SDNA and confirmed by Sport Witness.

Our sources say that although the clubs have been negotiating, things are still to reach an advanced stage, as the player and his staff are still to be contacted by the Greek side.

Signed on a loan deal from Al Hilal in the summer of 2017, the Brazilian striker had a good first season for Wolves, in which he scored 12 goals and made six assists.

His quick adaptation to English football convinced the club to activate their buying option over the player, paying an amount of €4m to get him on a permanent transfer.

This season, however, Bonatini has only nine appearances for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side, with the last one being in November 2018.

He still hasn’t been able to score in the Premier League, and his only goal was scored against Sheffield Wednesday in the EFL Cup in August.
