With constant rumours of Italian clubs circling around either Emerson Palmieri or Marcos Alonso, it’s no wonder Chelsea are being linked with left-backs.
Other than the recurring stories surrounding their interest for Porto’s Alex Telles, there is now a new name on the table: Layvin Kurzawa.
That’s according to France Football on Thursday, who claim Chelsea have joined the race ‘these past few days’ to sign the Paris Saint-Germain defender, who is out of contract this summer.
This comes after many months of speculation he could end up at Arsenal, with some even claiming a deal was already done, while Atlético Madrid are also keen.
Well, that doesn’t appear to be the case, as the French magazine explain Frank Lampard’s side have ‘entered the dance’ by contacting the player’s agents and ‘asking for information’.
This is said to ‘obviously interest the player’, as he favours a move to either Spain or England, but Kurzawa wants to first find out a bit more of the Blues’ intentions, fully aware they already have Palmieri and Alonso at the position in their squad.
As for Arsenal, they are still there, but it’s stated the emergence of Bukayo Saka in the role has forced them in taking ‘time to reflect’ before fully committing to signing a left-back.
