In need of improving their attack before the window closes, Chelsea have shifted their focus to AC Milan star Rafael Leão.
On Wednesday, Gazzetta dello Sport stated the winger’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has ‘every interest’ in taking his client to Stamford Bridge.
It was also explained the representative has ‘certainly’ held talks with Chelsea regarding the 23-year-old.
Calciomercato now claim the Blues ‘do not give up’ on the player and will ‘make a new attempt’ with the Serie A winners in the ‘next few days’.
If that were to happen, then the attacker can leave the San Siro. As it stands, there is ‘no chance’ of him joining another club.
Leão is happy with his life at the club, both on and off the pitch. The star is pampered and loved by Milan, his teammates and their supporters. In addition to this, he also wants to continue winning with the Rossoneri.
Although talks over a new contract have been relatively slow [his current deal expires in 2024], the player’s will has always been to stay at Milan.
If Chelsea want Leão in the next few days, they will have to pay his €150m clause.
