Earlier this week, we covered reports from the German media which brought some bad news for Chelsea and their pursuit of Youssoufa Moukoko.
It was claimed that the 18-year-old was close to agreeing a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund, and therefore would be closing the door on an exit from the Bundesliga side.
But those claims didn’t last long, because as Sky journalist Florian Plettenberg now brings an update on the situation, he dismisses it.
On Twitter, it’s said Moukoko’s agent confirms there are no advanced talks for a new contract with Borussia Dortmund. It’s even said the offer is not of €5-6m as previously reported.
To make the story even more exciting for the Blues, Plettenberg also claims that Chelsea are ‘seriously pushing’ for the signing, as there were ‘concrete talks about numbers’ to bring the youngster to Stamford Bridge.
The report claims Moukoko ‘wants a decision soon’, so it shouldn’t take long until we see the end of this contract saga, as his deal with Borussia Dortmund expires at the end of the season.
