Brazilian outlet UOL today brings a very interesting story about Chelsea’s negotiation to renew David Luiz’s contract with the club.
They start by claiming that player has recently rejected an offer to extend his deal for one further year.
Chelsea have the policy of not giving contracts of over a year to players over the age of 30, and that’s not a problem for David Luiz.
However, due to the short period of contract, he was expecting a bigger financial compensation, which isn’t happening.
The player is said to be willing to continue talks, and only when there’s really no chance of a deal, would he consider leaving. Benfica and Monaco are both said to be interested.
According to the report, he fell out with Marina Granovskaia in the past few weeks, and that could be another factor for David Luiz’s renewal to be stuck.
Chelsea would be unsatisfied with the high commissions demanded by Joorabchian. That’s why the relationship ‘collapsed and heads to a possible break’.
UOL shows that Kia still has several clients who belong to Chelsea. Besides David Luiz, there’s Willian, Lucas Piazon, Kenedy, Nathan and Matt Miazga. He’s worked to bring other players to the club in the past, such as Oscar, Alex, Ramires and Alexandre Pato.
UOL says that with things going bad for him at Chelsea, Kia is now getting closer to other Premier League sides such as Everton, West Ham, Crystal Palace and Reading.
