Sport report this is a crucial week for Barcelona youngster Ilaix Moriba, and believe his future could be sorted out within the next few days.

There’s a good chance he could be leaving the club.

Barcelona are said to have presented an offer to the youngster on his first professional contract which he can sign from Saturday onwards, when he turns 16 years of age.

Several teams have been trying to snatch away the La Masia product, and they’re named as Manchester City, Chelsea and Juventus.

Out of those it’s Pep Guardiola’s team who are by far the strongest in the race, and Sport say the Premier League champions are ‘confident’ they can complete the signing quickly.

It’s even stated that Manchester City will wait for the player to arrive on the 20th and sort out the final details of his contract with the club. Working on the signing for a while, City believe they’ve got it in the bag, despite Juve coming on strong in recent weeks.

Barcelona have offered the midfielder a contract which surpasses previous deals for youths, and whilst that will still be lower than what’s on offer from elsewhere it’s thought the club couldn’t have done much more.
