Last week, it was announced that Chelsea FC have reached an agreement to sign 16-year-old goalkeeper Marcin Bulka.
The player, who’s arriving from Barcelona’s School in Warsaw, is expected to join the Blues’ academy as he eyes a spot in the first team.
Now Mundo Desportivo has a story this Saturday claiming that before accepting Chelsea, Bulka snubbed Barcelona.
The youngster had a one week trial at the Catalan club in March, and after showing his skills, he was reportedly invited to join the Spanish giants.
However, despite having a verbal agreement with Barcelona and a contract in his hands, Chelsea’s interest is what caused the deal to collapse.
Bulka is said to be one of Europe’s most followed youngsters. He impressed the Blues’ coaches during his trial in Cobham, having the approval of Chelsea’s former goalkeeper Henrique Hilario.
