Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem are in talks with Chelsea over a season-long loan move for youngster Armando Broja.
That’s according to De Gelderlander, who say the Eredivisie side are ‘expressly interested’ in the Albanian striker, who has been in the Blues academy for several years.
Vitesse are said to be ‘in talks’ with Chelsea as well as the 18-year-old about a loan move, although sources close to both clubs have insisted there is ‘certainly no deal yet’.
Broja managed 19 goals in 32 games in all competitions last season, even making his Premier League debut in March as a late substitute for Olivier Giroud in the win over Everton.
With playing time in the first-team a far off thought, though, particularly given Timo Werner’s arrival this summer, it seems he will be heading out to get the game time he needs.
Vitesse, of course, is a well-trodden track for Chelsea youngsters, with the likes of Jamal Blackman, Charley Musonda, Eduardo and Lewis Baker all spending time there in recent years.
