Joe Hart to Tottenham has been strongly reported as a sure thing over the past 24 hours or so. The free agent is expected to sign for Jose Mourinho’s side and be a back-up, rather than moving to a smaller club and having the chance to be a first choice again.

It’s all considered agreed, and an announcement is expected soon. Hart has even dropped a social media hint this morning, saying he has a ‘big day’ ahead.

Now a curveball has arrived from beIN Sports in Turkey. They report, as if it were fact, that the goalkeeper has reached an agreement to join Fatih Karagümrük.

Who?

Fatih Karagümrük is an Istanbul club who play in the Süper Lig, Turkey’s top division.

There’s no further information from beIN, and they’re presenting this as breaking news to their two million followers. It could be a case of Hart agreeing terms with the Turkish club and then dropping them as soon as Tottenham interest turned up, or a genuine last minute change of plan.
