Inter Milan have ‘requested information’ on Leicester City midfielder Boubakary Soumaré as they continue their business before the end of the transfer window.

That’s according to journalist Gianluca di Marzio, who states that the midfielder will be ‘leaving’ Leicester after relegation to the Championship.

Soumaré is one of several players to have been heavily linked with a move away from the Foxes this summer following relegation last season.

Unlike Harvey Barnes, James Maddison, Your Tielemans or the big names to have departed, he remains in Leicester at this point in time.

There is interest in him, though, with Sevilla having pursued his signature for much of the summer without sinking the final blow as yet.

Now Inter Milan are in the mix according to Di Marzio, who states that the Italian side are ‘working for a midfielder’ to add to their squad.

They’re currently holding talks with Sassuolo over midfielder Maxime Lopez while the Champions League finalists have also ‘requested information’ from Leicester on Soumaré.

That would suggest a transfer isn’t imminent at this moment in time but there is certainly interest that the Foxes might have to deal with in the coming days.
