For some time now, the idea that Real Betis want Hector Bellerin has been doing the rounds, but the big problem stopping it from happening was the player’s wages and the amount of money it would take to bring him to Spain.

Now, though, things have changed, especially since the right-back has made it clear he would like to leave the Emirates, a move that dates back to when Inter wanted him.

The Serie A side have since signed Denzel Dumfries, but Bellerin’s desire to find a new club hasn’t dissipated, which could open the door for the La Liga side.

Estadio Deportivo have an article on the matter on Tuesday, and while a lot of it consists of arguments as to why it would be very difficult for Betis to sign the Gunners man, they don’t rule it out entirely.

Needing a big squad to compete in three different competitions, the Spaniards could think about a move for Bellerin if the conditions are right.

That’s because despite all the difficulties ‘and economic impediments’, ‘the only certainty is that Hector Bellerin is on the team’s agenda’.

Therefore, should ‘a market opportunity be presented, it would be irresistible given the shortcomings of the team’.
