Not for the first time, Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard is spending time in the Italian rumour mill, with several claims over the past few days about clubs being interested.
AS Roma were in the picture a few days ago, when it was claimed the Celtic player is first choice on the club’s list of striker targets for the summer window.
Manager Paulo Fonseca has fallen out with Edin Dzeko, and the Portuguese coach is thought to want Edouard above other options.
Several other Serie A sides have been linked with the Celtic player, and claims earlier this month stated he’d been against a January move because he’s confident of having a wider choice of options in the summer.
Sky Italia, via Calciomercato, report Celtic’s ‘demands’ for a move have now dropped. With Edouard refusing a renewal and with one more season after this left on his contract, it’s thought the cost of a move will now be less than €20m.
