Leeds United have been pulled into the picture to sign Mikkel Damsgaard from Sampdoria in the next window.

The 20-year-old only moved to the Genoa club from FC Nordsjaelland in September 2020, and is already attracting attention from elsewhere. Gazzetta dello Sport recently reported Spurs, Inter Milan and Juventus were all keen on the youngster, with Tottenham ‘seriously thinking’ about the signing.

Already a Denmark international, the attacker, who is very versatile, has picked up over 1000 minutes in Serie A so far, playing mainly on the left wing. He’s scored two goals and added four assists in that time.

La Repubblica now report Leeds United are among the clubs who have ‘moved ahead of the summer market’ to try and get an advantage when it comes to signing the youngster. The Whites have ‘tested the waters’, which presumably means they’ve asked for the conditions of a transfer.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are joined by Southampton, while Tottenham and West Ham, both previously linked, are mentioned once again.

Sampdoria are looking for around €20m for a summer move, and it’s the Genoa edition of La Repubblica reporting the claims.
