Karar claim Celtic and Rangers are interested in signing Trabzonspor striker Caleb Ekuban in the summer transfer window.
The former Leeds United forward has been impressing for the Super Lig side for the past two seasons and this has brought him to the attention of both Celtic and Rangers.
A few weeks ago, there were reports Rangers boss Steven Gerrard was interested in Ekuban and he could look to add him to his squad this summer.
With Jermain Defoe’s contract set to expire at the end of the season and the Alfredo Morelos linked with a move away from Ibrox, it’s reported Gerrard sees the Trabzonspor player as an option.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon could also be looking to add some firepower to his team for next season as he looks for support for Odsonne Edouard.
Despite the reported interest from Rangers and Celtic, Karar report the Ghanaian striker isn’t thinking about a move away from the club at the moment. It’s stated that Ekuban is only focused on winning the Super Lig title with Trabzonspor and after that he will consider his options.
It’s claimed the Trabzonspor board also value the player highly as they believe he could be an important part of the team for many years. Karar say they will only allow sanction his sale if a really good offer comes in for the 26 year old.
Ekuban has made 25 appearances for Trabzonspor in all competitions this season, scoring 8 goals. His contract with the Super Lig club will expire at the end of June 2022.
