Since Diego Laxalt was loaned by Milan to Celtic at the start of the season, the Italian media has many times been wondering if the player would stay in Scotland on a permanent move.
A couple of weeks ago, there were claims from the local media claiming the Hoops ‘abruptly changed their mind’ regarding the future of the 28-year-old, and decided not to keep him.
Now we see claims from Calcio Mercato which back up this information. They say Milan will on Monday have a meeting with Laxalt’s entourage to talk about his future and seek a new destination.
The website claims they’ll try to find ‘new accommodation’ for him, and there are two destinations named, which are Besiktas and Dinamo Moscow.
Laxalt made 28 appearances for Celtic this season, which were apparently not enough to convince the club to make an effort to keep him. His contract with Milan expires next year, so it’s likely that the Rossoneri will now try to let him go on a permanent move.
