While Olivier Ntcham is on his way to Marseille, one man who doesn’t appear to be leaving in January is Odsonne Edouard.
That’s according to French journalist Ignazio Genuardi, who took to social media to explain the Scottish Premiership side had ‘lowered their demands’ for an eventual transfer in the January window.
This is because the player has refused to extend his contract at Parkhead, but the France U21 international, who knows that his options would be limited in January, has decided he will ‘wait until next summer in order to benefit from a better market’.
That means that regardless of what comes Celtic’s way, Edouard is set on staying in Scotland until the next transfer window.
The striker has remained a relatively key member of Neil Lennon’s squad, and while he hasn’t been as prolific as he once was, he’s still managed to find the back of the net 13 times in 25 appearances in all competitions, as well as adding four assists to his name.
Le #Celtic Glasgow a revu ses exigences à la baisse pour un éventuel transfert d’#Edouard, mais l’ancien Parisien – qui a refusé de rempiler – va attendre l’été prochain afin de bénéficier d’un marché plus important. #Mercato
