Celtic centre-forward Odsonne Edouard shares a headline with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in today’s issue of Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
The outlet is talking about the options that Milan have to replace the Swedish star, and the Hoops’ striker seems to be one of them.
They start by claiming that the Rossoneri have been showing some resistance to buying another centre-forward, since they have too many players for that position.
However, none of them has the same characteristics as Ibrahimovic, who’s out with a calf injury with no return date. That’s where Celtic’s Edouard shows up.
They’ve taken a look at his data and claim that due to his size, age and his goals record, he ‘can also be an investment for the future, as well as in the immediate future, waiting for Ibrahimovic’.
It isn’t said how much Celtic would demand or Milan pay for the transfer. Tuttosport claim that another option the Rossoneri have for the position is Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic.
Gazzetta’s stance is that Edouard ‘would gladly’ leave Celtic for AC Milan if a deal could be reached in January.
